musical biography
Music is the common thread running through his life—deeply anchored in his very DNA. Since his earliest beginnings, this Baden-based musician has been tirelessly on the road as a guitarist, singer, and composer, making a name for himself in a wide variety of musical constellations. He is a musician who makes this passion palpable in every single note, and who today commands stages with an artistic reach extending far beyond his local region.
He acquired his musical skills through intensive self-study as well as through workshops and lessons with renowned guitarists such as Thomas Fellow, Stefan Bormann, and Jon Gomm. His voice was trained by the Canadian soprano Burnetta Day-Mould. He himself has served as an instructor at various music schools and currently conducts guitar workshops on the subject of "percussive fingerstyle."
on stage
As a distinctive, accomplished musician and eloquent entertainer, Bodo captivates his audience. Passionate, virtuosic guitar playing, infectious enthusiasm, and a soulful voice: these elements give his songs a unique sound, his own. His guitar often sounds like a whole band: crisp grooves, percussive elements and solos.
In addition to his own compositions, you'll also hear selected songs by special artists… and almost every song has a story! The musical range that Bodo demonstrates here is extraordinary and impressive. Song-serving arrangements, sometimes airy and light, sometimes densely woven, are the icing on the cake of his energetic performance, testifying to pure creativity and joy of playing.
